Minister of Ports Rohitha Abeygunawardena says individuals spreading false rumours of a fuel shortage should be dealt with by the law.
The Minister speaking to media in Colombo today said 39,000MT of petrol is due to arrive in the island today and 40,000MT of diesel tomorrow.
He added a tanker with 40,500MT of fuel docked in Sri Lanka on the 16th of November and is currently offloading.
Minister Abeygunawardena said a continuous diesel and petrol supply has been ensured and vowed that there will be no shortage.
He said legal action should be taken against those spreading false rumours of shortages adding that there is no fuel crisis in the country.
