The Ceylon Teachers Service Union says they are ready to resolve teacher-principal salary anomalies through extensive talks.
Speaking to media in Colombo today, Secretary of the Union Mahinda Jayasinghe said the trade unions will extend maximum support to resolve these issues promptly, for the benefit of school children.
Jayasinghe recalled that they participated in discussions with the relevant Ministers despite them being unable to offer a plausible solution.
Despite the Teachers Service Union presenting their opinions to authorities, he commented that they were conveniently ignored.
He said they are ready to sit down and resolve these issues in order to provide a better service to students.
