Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna Parliamentarian Premnath C Dolawatte has requested all Parliamentarians to extend their support to the newly appointed Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe for the wellbeing of the country.

Speaking to media prior to a discussion with the President today, MP Dolawatte said all politicians must come forward to overcome the economic crisis irrespective of personal ideologies.

He said as an independent MP, he will extend his support to Premier Wickremesinghe during the next Parliamentary session.

When questioned by media as to what action will be taken if the Millennium Challenge Corporation agreement is tabled, the Parliamentarian said they will oppose such decisions adding however they have united considering the development of the country.

Meanwhile, MP SM Chandrasena said Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe must be given a reasonable period of time to implement necessary decisions.

MP Chandrasena said it is common knowledge that Prime Minister Wickremesinghe holds the support of the international community. He said it is not the time to be appointing and ousting Prime Ministers.
