Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe is scheduled to present a Rs. 695 billion supplementary estimate to Parliament to provide relief to the general public.
The government has introduced an assistance package for samurdhi beneficiaries, estate communities, pensioners and government servants to reduce as much as possible the hardships faced by the public due to the adverse economic conditions.
