Talks held between teacher principal trade unions and the Prime Minister at the Temple Trees this afternoon has ended in a stalemate.
Chief Secretary of the Ceylon Teachers’ Union Joshep Stalin said the teacher strike related to online teaching will continue as a result.
Speaking to NewsRadio Stalin said the discussion was attended by a subcommittee claiming it was a clear attempt to delay providing solutions to their demands including addressing salary anomalies.
He said trade union representatives firmly rejected proposals of the subcommittee.
Stalin called for a definitive solution to their demands adding they are yet to receive any concession.
