Muslims in Sri Lanka to mark Haj on 10th July

Muslims in Sri Lanka will celebrate the Eid-al-Adha Haj festival on the 10th of July.

The Colombo Grand Mosque announced that since the crescent for the month of Dhul Hijjah was sighted today in the country, the Haj festival will be celebrated on the 10th of next month.

The Haj festival, is the second religious holiday in the Islamic calendar and is celebrated by Muslims all over the world.

The festival is commemorated by many Muslims with a pilgrimage to Mecca during the Haj week.

It is said that this is the largest gathering of Muslims in the world every year.
