The government has decided to introduce a new “Golden Paradise VISA Programme” to grant long-term visas to foreign nationals.
Accordingly, the visa scheme will enable the government to issue residence visas for 10 years to foreign nationals who deposit at least USD100,000 in a commercial bank recognized by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka.
Meanwhile, the Cabinet has also granted approval to issue long-term visas to encourage investments.
Accordingly, long–term residence visas for up to 10 years will be issued to foreigners, their spouses and their dependents who invest at least USD 75,000 or more in condominium properties.
The proposal in this regard was presented to the Cabinet by President Gotabaya Rajapaksa as the Minister of Defense.
