JVP Politburo Member former Parliamentarian KD Lalkantha says the country needs a modern style of governing at present.
Speaking to media in Kandy today, Lalkantha said the main reason for the various issues in the country is the actions of the rulers.
The former MP said the fuel and power crises were direct results of the selfish actions of the authorities.
He said they are bringing these matters to the people’s attention as the public needs to be aware of the bigger issue.
Lalkantha said the country cannot be developed while such leaders remain in power adding the only way forward is through a modern governing mechanism.
The former MP said raising concerns over singular incidents will not be sufficient to resolve prevailing issues, without laying the foundation for a new governing mechanism.
