Leader of the Opposition Sajith Premadasa says Sri Lanka has reached a critical point at present.
Speaking during a meeting with Ambassadors of several countries the Opposition Leader said international support is required to overcome the prevailing crisis situation.
He noted the public is severely burdened adding the country must be uplifted promptly.
While stating the country cannot be uplifted through racism and extremism, MP Premadasa said the Samagi Jana Balawegaya will stand up for the rights of all people.
Several important diplomatic matters were discussed during the meeting held with the Ambassadors and High Commissioners of Palestine, Oman, Kuwait, Indonesia, Pakistan, Turkey and Maldives.
