The National People’s Power says Sri Lanka is engaged in dealings with foreign countries instead of focusing on the country’s interests and its future.

Speaking during a media briefing today, Parliamentarian Harini Amarasuriya said most countries impose conditions in various sectors when providing aid.

MP Amarasuriya said the country has no stringent plan when dealing with foreign nations.

The Parliamentarian said the deal entered into with China was not for obtaining funds but for obtaining goods while India is providing funds under strict guidelines and conditions according to India’s prerogative.

She said India may have even imposed political conditions.
