State Minister of Provincial Councils and Local Government Roshan Ranasinghe says it is evident that some individuals are conspiring against the government while being part of the present administration.
Speaking to media after an event in Kandy, State Minister Ranasinghe said action must be taken against such individuals in order to take the government forward.
The State Minister said in recent weeks they observed that some Ministers have spoken against the government in public after remaining silent during Cabinet meetings.
He said if they are working against the government or disagreeing with decisions taken by the President or the Prime Minister, a decision must be taken over them.
State Minister Ranasinghe added the programmes of the government cannot be allowed to be derailed.
He said since the present administration has received an overwhelming public mandate, they should strive to work for the people.
