The Socialist Youth Union is due to stage a protest in Colombo tomorrow.
National organizer of the Union Eranga Gunasekara said the protest was organized against the sale of state resources and several other matters.
He noted the protest will get underway at the Technical Junction at 10am tomorrow.
Gunasekara claimed the government assumed duties amidst celebrations adding however at present the country’s citizens are severely burdened.
He noted rulers continued to obtain loans, sell state resources and steal.
Gunasekara said the country is like a large property while the rulers are like a Manager appointed to oversee the property for five years.
He claimed rulers sold parts of the property for 74 years and all that’s left now is our homes.
He said therefore the youth must choose to rise and fight.
