The Parliamentary group of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna convened today under the patronage of President Gotabaya Rajapaksa.
The meeting began at 9am at the President’s House.
The present political situation in the country were taken up for discussion during today’s talks.
This is the first meeting of the SLPP Parliamentary group since Mahinda Rajapaksa resigned as the country’s Prime Minister.
The JVP claims investigations pertaining to the May 9 violence are not taking place stringently.
