The brother of Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna Parliamentarian Sanath Nishantha, Arachchikattuwa Pradeshiya Sabha Member Jagath Samantha has been arrested.
He has been arrested on charges of assaulting an individual at a filling station and for obstructing duties of Police officers.
The assault incident was reported at a filling station in Arachchikattuwa on the 17th of June.
