Senior Vice President of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party Prof. Rohana Luxman Piyadasa says they will decide if the party will exit the alliance formed with the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna in the coming days.
Speaking to media in Kandy, Rohana Luxman said lower level activists of the SLPP are campaigning against the SLFP both with and without the consent of party heads, similar to the period leading up to the General Election.
He pointed out that certain Ministers are directly requesting the SLFP to leave the alliance formed.
The SLFP Senior Vice President requested grassroot level members of the party to take precautionary action against such smear campaigns by SLPP members.
He assured that a decision in this regard will be taken in future.
