The Samagi Jana Balawegaya says Sri Lanka’s reputation before the international community has seriously waned at present.
Speaking to media in Kandy, Parliamentarian Velu Kumar said this is evident through matters highlighted regarding Sri Lanka at the United Nations Human Rights Council session currently underway.
The MP said the government must bear full responsibility for this development.
MP Kumar said the UN Human Rights Commissioner’s statement clearly states the militarisation in the country adding the involvement of the military in civil administration has increased and will not end at emergency regulations.
The Parliamentarian said the SJB as a responsible opposition has warned the President and the government to take due action.
