General Secretary of Bodu Bala Sena organisation Venerable Galagoda Aththe Gnanasara Thera says the country’s rulers must consider several factors when dealing with other nations in the region.
Speaking to media, Galagoda Aththe Gnanasara Thera commenting on the impact the Taliban organisation may have on the region after it took over the governance of Afghanistan said Sri Lanka must have a clear vision when dealing with the new development.
The Thera noted they are also observing the developments closely.
Galagoda Aththe Gnanasara Thera said the countries around Afghanistan, Russia, China, Pakistan and Turkey have recognised the Taliban rule and therefore Sri Lanka should work according to a plan.
The Thera noted all such countries have anti-US strategies which will also have a bearing on the region.
Galagoda Aththe Gnanasara Thera said the Taliban’s influence will be felt across Asia and therefore they are monitoring all aspects and how the new geopolitical change will have a bearing on Sri Lanka and the citizens.
