The Samagi Jana Balawegaya has not taken a decision thus far to attend the Wednesday’s All Party Conference called by the President.

Speaking to NewsRadio, National Organizer of the SJB Parliamentarian Tissa Attanayake confirmed that they received an invitation to attend the conference, due to be held on the 23rd of March.

MP Attanayake said party leaders and the Parliamentary group are yet to discuss the matter, while talks are due to be held this morning regarding the Conference.

He noted the SJB will reach a decision on attending the Conference following the discussion and announce its stance.

MP Tissa Attanayake said however concerns have arisen over whether the government called the All Party Conference as a media gimmick.

He claimed the opposition provided several proposals to overcome the prevailing situation prior to the calling of the All Party Conference adding however the government disregarded all such recommendations.

He added the prevailing crisis was created as a result of the government disregarding the proposals.
