Parliamentarian Nalin Bandara Jayamaha says the attention of the Samagi Jana Balawegaya has been drawn towards a support mechanism in Parliament for the all-party programme as suggested by President Ranil Wickremesinghe.
Taking to Facebook, MP Nalin Bandara Jayamaha said during the recent discussion with President Wickremesinghe he proposed the establishment of a Presidential Commission to look into the issues that led to the economic crisis in the country.
The Parliamentarian said the President had indicated that since financial powers are vested with Parliament, it is appropriate to establish a Parliamentary Select Committee.
