Parliamentarians of the Samagi Jana Balawegaya claim they will expedite the handing over of a No-Confidence Motion tabled against the government, to the Speaker.
The decision was made during an emergency meeting of party members last night.
During last night’s talks, SJB members discussed the possibility of handing over the No-Confidence Motion to the Speaker with an adequate number of signatures, during the upcoming Parliament session.
Last night’s talks also focused on the party’s efforts to organise a protest march from Colombo to Kandy, in opposition to the governments suppression of public views.
The march will begin in Kandy on the 24th of April and reach Colombo on the 1st of May.
The main objective of the protest march will be to empower those engaged in a struggle against the government.
