Samagi Jana Balawegaya Parliamentarian Manusha Nanayakkara says the SJB will enter 2022 with solutions to overcome the current economic crisis faced by the country.
Speaking during a media briefing today, MP Nanayakkara said this year will go down in history as one of the most failed years for a government of the country.
The Parliamentarian said the public will have to purchase imported rice to celebrate the New Year.
He said comparing the prices from January 2021 to December 2021, 1kg of green beans had increased to Rs.440 from Rs.210, 1kg of carrot has increased to Rs.560 from Rs.160, while 1kg of green chilies had increased to Rs.1,000 from Rs.420.
The MP said they will not mock the 6.9million individuals similar to how certain politicians did in the past.
MP Nanayakkara said instead Leader of the Opposition Sajith Premadasa along with the SJB will step into 2022 with a plan and a clear vision to uplift the quality of life of the public and to overcome the financial crisis.
The Parliamentarian said they will table their plan of action to uplift the nation in the near future.
