Leader of the Opposition Sajith Premadasa has informed Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe that the Samagi Jana Balawegaya is still of the stance that they will not form a government that includes the Rajapaksas.

Responding to a letter directed by Prime Minister Wickremesinghe, the Opposition Leader said the SJB is of the view that solutions must be sought with the ground views of the public to resolve the greatest economic and political crisis faced by the country.

MP Premadasa said the SJB held discussions with all political parties during the past few weeks to formulate an all-party programme and informed the President of the developments.

Accordingly, the Opposition Leader informed the Prime Minister that they have not change their stance.

The MP in his letter to Premier Wickremesinghe further said, as a responsible opposition the SJB will support correct decisions taken by the government to resolve the economic crisis.
