The National People’s Power says frequent Cabinet reshuffles are not the answer the protesters and the general public were waiting for.
Speaking to media in Wadduwa today, NPP Parliamentarian Vijitha Hearth said the government is attempting to evade the issues by making temporary changes.
He said today’s Cabinet reshuffle will not resolve the issues faced by the public including the shortages of fuel, gas and milk powder and the regular power cuts.
MP Hearth said the government has been reshuffling the Cabinet on a regular basis without heeding to the demands of the people.
He stressed that the public has not been seeking a Cabinet reshuffle but the resignation of the entire ruling family.
The NPP MP also claimed that voters are now rallying around them.
He said they organised the protest march to expel the current corrupt rulers and appoint a new people-friendly government.
MP Vijitha Hearth said the protest march which commenced from Beruwala yesterday will head to Lipton Circus tomorrow with the aim of exerting pressure on the government.
