A number of main commercial banks have announced that several branches will remain open today to provide limited services to customers.
According to the directive issued by the Ministry of Health, banks can function to provide limited services to the general public despite the imposition of a quarantine curfew.
Accordingly, banks will be opened today for trade financing, treasury operations, clearing activities, payment of salaries and to respond to other urgent requests or inquiries of customers.
Banks have been advised to strictly adhere to all relevant safety measures and guidelines.
Banks have also been instructed to continue to facilitate and encourage the use of electronic and digital channels, including Automated Teller Machines, Cash Deposit Machines and mobile banking vehicles.
