The Department of Motor Traffic will be closed on Thursdays and Fridays until further notice, owing to the current fuel crisis.
Commissioner General of Motor Traffic Sumith Alahakoon said in a statement that the DMT Werahera office and Gampaha and Anuradhapura District offices will function on Thursdays for license renewals.
He said prior appointments must be made to obtain the service.
Meanwhile, those who have booked slots to obtain services on the 1st of July have been requested to visit the offices next week either on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday.
The Department of Motor Traffic offices will function between 9am and 4pm.
