Academic activities for students in Grades 6 to 9 classes will begin today in schools across the country, marking the fourth and final stage of the staggered opening of schools.
Accordingly, schools will fully function from today.
The Ministry of Education decided to reopen primary schools with less than 200 students under the first stage on the 21st of October.
Under the second phase, primary sections of all schools were reopened while on the 8th of November, classes for Grades 10, 11, 12 and 13 students resumed under the third phase.
Meanwhile, the National Transport Commission has decided to deploy 1,400 Sisu Sariya buses from today to transport school children.
