The All Island Inter District School Children Transportation Association says it is able to deploy only 45 percent of the vehicles due to the difficulties faced in obtaining fuel.
Speaking to NewsRadio, President of the Association Harishchandra Padmasiri said they are facing numerous difficulties when obtaining fuel.
Padmasiri claimed the QR code system is not practical adding their quota system does not align with their timetable.
The President of the Association said some vehicles received fuel from depots operated by the Sri Lanka Transport Board adding however most of the operators encountered issues when obtaining fuel from SLTB depots as well due to the limited supply of fuel.
Padmasiri called on the relevant authorities to take necessary steps to provide them with fuel.
