Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna Parliamentarian SB Dissanayake says there is no question regarding the government’s stability.
Speaking to media at the party headquarters today the Parliamentarian said a responsible President cannot obey every request of the Opposition.
He claimed that the country would be in disarray if its leader ignores his responsibilities.
He revealed that the SLPP still holds 117 seats in parliament when ignoring those who recently declared themselves independent.
The MP assured that the government was stable, since the independent MPs will also stand with the SLPP in the event a vote is called.
He also questioned the Oppositions calls for abolishing the Executive Presidency, during times of an economic crisis.
