Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna Parliamentarians Sanath Nishantha and Milan Jayathilake, Dan Priyasad, and three others have been further remanded.
The group was further remanded till the 1st of June by the Colombo Fort Magistrate Thilina Gamage.
Meanwhile, NewsRadio court correspondent said another six suspects have been further remanded till the 27th of May and will be produced at an identification parade.
The group was arrested on charges of instigating the violence and unrest reported outside the Temple Trees and at Galle Face on the 9th of May.
Another four individuals who were arrested over the incident have been released on bail.
Meanwhile, Magistrate Thilina Gamage ordered Inspector General of Police CD Wickramaratne to produce facts before court over the failure to transfer Senior DIG-Western Province Deshabandu Tennakoon as advised by the Attorney General.
The group was arrested following instructions by the Attorney General to the IGP to record statements and arrest 22 individuals, including former Ministers, in connection with the attack on protesters on the 9th of May.
