Leader of the Opposition Sajith Premadasa has vowed to bring a large number of individuals to Colombo in protest to the government’s actions.
Speaking during a protest in Kandy today, the MP said the government has created a queuing era and made everyday living difficult, created an education crisis owing to the failure to address salary anomalies of teachers, created a fertiliser shortage while thousands of young people are seeking to leave the country.
MP Premadasa said people have been left destitute adding they will no longer remain patient.
He invited all citizens to rally against the government and to join a protest wave that will be led to Colombo.
Premadasa urged the government to understand the people and their grievances and to uphold and protect people’s rights.
