Leader of the Opposition Sajith Premadasa has reiterated that a shortage of a drug used in Sri Lanka to treat COVID-19 patients in critical condition, is prevalent.
The Opposition Leader said there is an urgent need to ensure the continuous supply of the drug.
MP Premadasa said the government must set aside deceit and fraud and instead fulfil its duties.
Meanwhile, all political parties affiliated to the Samagi Jana Balawegaya have called on the public to place themselves in a self-imposed lockdown.
Issuing a joint statement, they said the self-imposed lockdown should be enforced through 10 days in the least.
The statement was signed by SJB leader Sajith Premadasa and leaders of affiliated parties’ MPs Rauf Hakeem, Mano Ganesan and Ameer Ali.
