Parliamentarian Rishad Bathiudeen arrested and remanded over investigations into the 2019 Easter Sunday attacks has been granted bail.
The order was issued by the Colombo Fort Magistrate Priyantha Liyanage this afternoon.
MP Bathiudeen was released on two surety bail of Rs.5 million each.
He arrested on the 24th of April by the Criminal Investigation Department over investigations into the bombings.
He was arrested under provisions of the Prevention of Terrorism Act.
The MP was charged with ties to the owner of the copper factory in Wellampitiya, who was one of the suicide bombers in the Easter attacks.
