Senior Vice Chairman of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party Professor Rohana Laxman Piyadasa says despite the circumstances, reopening the country and COVID-19 being contained is a matter to rejoice.
Speaking to media in Kandy, Prof. Rohana Luxman Piyadasa said schools and universities were closed for over two years and offices were not active.
He added imports and exports, farming and factories must resume operations.
Prof. Piyadasa noted the SLFP will intervene to provide leadership to resolve concerns of the public.
He added the SLFP has a duty on their part when the country reopens.
