State Minister Mohan de Silva says if a solution can be derived to the present crisis by reducing Ministerial portfolios or by minimising state expenditure, such measures should be taken.
Speaking to media the State Minister said he is prepared to sacrifice his ministry.
He said forming a national government is not a solution adding that it will only increase the Cabinet Ministerial posts and thereby lead to public funds being wasted.
State Minister de Silva claimed corruption and wastage however must be brought to an end.
He said while politics is not important at present, all citizens must work for the betterment of the country.
