The National Dengue Control Unit says there was a rapid rise in the number of dengue cases reported last week.

Accordingly, 733 suspected dengue cases were reported within the week.

The National Dengue Control Unit said it is a 19.6 percent rise, in comparison to the number of dengue cases reported the previous week.

Meanwhile 44.5 percent of the dengue patients reported last week was from the Western Province.
