The Association of Health Professionals has questioned the Director General of Health Services on the basis under which he granted permission to allow local and foreign arrivals to enter the country without undergoing a PCR test.
Speaking during a media briefing President of the Association Ravi Kumudesh said the decision could lead to the spread of COVID-19 adding it cannot be prevented.
Kumudesh claimed at the end of each sacrifice, health authorities and the government reach decisions without a scientific basis and inconvenience the public.
He noted a similar decision was reached yesterday, when the Director General of Health Services issued a set of guidelines in haste.
Kumudesh said according to the new guidelines, arrivals do not have to undergo PCR tests to enter the country.
Kumudesh questioned the Director General if he was forced to reach such a decision or if a specialist doctor advised him to reach this decision.
