The Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka says they are of the stance that electricity tariffs must be increased, since prices have not been revised in eight years.
PUCSL Chairman Janaka Ratnayake said, they have already commenced preliminary steps to facilitate a price hike.
He communicated that the public will be notified prior to being charged under the revised prices.
