The Samagi Jana Balawegaya says it is evident that the public will rally together against the government in all instances, regardless of party affiliations.
Commenting on the National People’s Power rally held yesterday, Parliamentarian Thushara Indunil Amarasena said all people who joined the rally shouldn’t be confused for supporters of the party.
He said such arrogance will only result in the party losing supporters.
MP Amarasena urged the Leader of the National People’s Power MP Anura Kumara Dissanayake to understand that people will join any anti-government protest or rally as the public is deeply disheartened with the present administration.
Meanwhile commenting on the statement made by Minister Vasudeva Nanayakkara claiming he will never join the opposition, MP Thushara Indunil Amarasena said they will not invite or accept such bankrupt politicians.
The MP said as stated in Buddhism, an individual’s character is only gauged through their actions.
He claimed Minister Nanayakkara is not in a place to give character certificates to other individuals, due to his actions in the past.
The MP said the Minister is conflicted as he is criticising the action of the government while holding a Ministerial portfolio.
