The general public has been requested once again not to queue up at CEYPETCO filling stations until the commencement of fuel distribution.
Minister of Power and Energy Kanchana Wijesekera said distribution to those filling stations will only take place once the vehicles are removed.
Minister Wijesekera noted in order to implement the National Fuel Pass which was introduced on Saturday, those presently in fuel queues must be cleared adding military assistance will be sought to do so.
The Minister stressed that the general public can obtain fuel twice a week according to the last number of the vehicle number plate, using the relevant QR code.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Power and Energy has announced that the number of persons registered to obtain the National Fuel Pass has surpassed one million.
