Protesters have entered both the President’s House in Colombo, Fort and the Presidential Secretariat at Galleface.
The protesters pushed open the gates to the President’s House and entered in large numbers.
Thousands also entered the Presidential Secretariat.
The Gota Go Gama protest site was set up opposite the Presidential Secretariat and was never breached to date.
However, today protesters agitated by the economic crisis in the country stormed the President’s main office.
The protesters are engaged in anti-government demonstrations demanding the resignation of the President, the Prime Minister and the government.
NewsRadio correspondents said people have been flocking in from across the country.
Individuals who were unable to source fuel to travel were seen carpooling and in lorries and container trucks heading to Galleface.
Protesters were also seen on foot walking towards Galleface.
