The Ministerial Consultative Committee on Education has rejected a proposal to refrain from publishing the cut off marks of the Grade 5 Scholarship Examination.
A majority within the committee said publishing the cut off marks grants parents the opportunity to select a school of their choice for children.
The Committee also claimed that the hopes of children expecting results should not be dampened.
