The programme to provide fuel for health sector workers on Friday has been temporarily suspended.
The Ministry of Health said the Secretary of the Ministry of Health Janaka Sri Chandragupta informed the secretaries of the Ministries of Public Administration, Defence, Power and Energy including heads of health institutions of the decision in writing.
The statement said the programme to provide fuel for health workers was suspended for a period of 48-hours.
The Health Secretary said a new date will be announced for health workers to obtain fuel in the near future.
