The Inter-Provincial Private Bus Association says many problems will arise if fuel prices are increased prior to the annual bus fare revision.
Speaking to media, Chairman of the Association Sarath Vijitha Kumara said reports are circulating of a possible fuel price increase at midnight today.
He commented that it is most suitable, to postpone the fuel price increase on the day of the bus fare revision.
The Chairman said weak government decision making was clear through their failure to understand this issue.
He noted that ticket prices will increase in two instances if a fuel price revision is announced prior to the bus fare revision.
