State Minister Dilum Amunugama says an investigation has commenced into certain individuals spreading false information of a fuel shortage in the country.

Speaking at a media briefing in Kandy the State Minister said circulating false information amidst the coronavirus pandemic and instilling fear in the public is an act of terrorism.

The State Minister said these are disruptive actions, adding that the Police has been informed to launch investigations.
