Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa has accepted that the country and its people are facing a dire situation at present.

Addressing a function today the Premier said while the coronavirus caused many issues the government successfully controlled the virus.

Premier Rajapaksa added as a government, all steps have been taken to towards providing concessions to the people and in fulfilling their responsibility.

The Prime Minister added in order for a village to develop the road networks including infrastructure facilities must also improve.

The Prime Minister stated the government however cannot ensure rapid development in the current climate adding development will be gradual.
