The Samagi Jana Balawegaya says the price of goods must be reduced by a significant figure.

Speaking at a media briefing today, MP SM Marikkar said the public has had to face the repercussions of delayed economic reforms.

MP Marikkar said people’s incomes must enable them to meet their needs and called for skyrocketing prices of goods to be controlled.

The MP also called for queues to be reduced, and a suitable environment for children to go to school to be created, while patients must be able to source medicine.

The Parliamentarian said citizens require a peaceful country and claimed that in a bid to achieve this goal a definite economic plan and reforms are required.

MP Marikkar on a separate note said the SJB has no intention of taking up Ministerial posts within an all-party government.

He said the SJB will support efforts to ensure the country’s economic crisis is addressed.
