Leader of the JVP Parliamentarian Anura Kumara Dissanayake says the President and the Prime Minister do not have the people’s mandate to be in power.
Speaking at a rally in Matale the MP said a government must be sensitive to the needs of the people.
However, the Parliamentarian said the people will reject a government that is not sensitive towards public needs, and if they cannot provide solutions to the daily struggles of the public.
He added a wave of protests broke out around the country calling for the Rajapaksa’s to go home.
However, when the new Prime Minister was appointed, MP Anura Kumara Dissanayake said many hoped for solutions to be given.
The JVP Leader stated the country has rejected the current Prime Minister and is presently rejecting the President.
Therefore, he claimed it is against the people’s mandate for them to remain in power.
