Leader of the Opposition Sajith Premadasa said the Foreign Ministry must provide a formal explanation to relevant parties pertaining to the travel advisories issued by several foreign nations.

The Opposition Leader said everyone must unite and inform foreign missions that there is no requirement to impose such travel advisories.

He said a positive message must be conveyed to international communities while acknowledging the shortages.

The MP said the Foreign Minister must take on a proactive role.

On a separate note, MP Premadasa said many foreign airlines have limited their journeys to Sri Lanka, mainly due to the issues in repatriating accumulated funds.

The Opposition Leader also called for the Ministry of Tourism to formulate an integrated programme in line with other line Ministries.
