Leader of the House Minister Dinesh Gunawardena says a bill will be presented in parliament proposing amendments to standing orders so that powers vested in the Committee on Public Enterprise, Committee on Public Accounts and other parliamentary Committees will be increased.
The Minister said the relevant amendments can be presented in order to increase the committee’s powers so that it can take further action, without being limited to simply presenting a report.
