The Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka says power cuts will be imposed across the island today as well.
Chairman of the PUCSL Janaka Ratnayake said the Ceylon Electricity Board requested the Commission to impose power cuts due to the non-availability of fuel for power plants generating up to 541MW of power.
Accordingly, two hour scheduled power cuts from between 4.30pm and 10.30pm for group A, B, and C and three hour power cuts for other groups will be enforced today.
